As the sole owner and operator of two home-based art businesses, Dania Mallette keeps herself very busy these days with all types of artistic projects.
Her first company, DDM Creations, specializes in children’s book illustrations, cartooning and indoor murals, among other services. DDM Creations also offered chalk art services but the demand for chalk art grew so rapidly that in 2013 Dania decided to develop a new business specifically for this skill set. As a result, DDM Creation’s sister company, The Chalk Chica was established.
Through DDM Creations and The Chalk Chica, Dania has worked with a wide range of clients, including self-published authors, publishing companies, families, restaurants, corporations and even big names like Zynga, Nike, Starbucks and Google.
She helps them understand the process of working with an illustrator/artist in order to produce the best outcome. As a result, she enjoys long-term working relationships with repeat clients.
